Virtually all of the units we receive for repair are placed back into service. Without our ability to repair right down to component level it is likely many of these units would end up in landfill.

The ‘carbon footprint’ of our repair operation is significantly less than that for manufacturing new equipment. In terms of both cost and environmental impact, repairing equipment that is still fit for purpose therefore brings benefits to the total supply chain.

As you would expect, Maxey Moverley has a comprehensive Environmental Policy based around ISO14001. By monitoring our energy consumption and waste generation, we can set targets of continual improvement. We also monitor our suppliers to ensure they are setting improving environmental standards – and meeting them.

All our waste is separated and disposed of correctly using licensed contractors, and we meet the requirements of the WEEE directive for the disposal of hazardous electronic units at their end of life.
